The first pre-season match ahead of the new campaign in 4 weeks time, saw AFC Bournemouth travel to West Leigh Park to face Conference South side Havant & Waterlooville.

Tony Taggart scored the only goal of the game in the 9th minute when he slipped in behind the defence to slot he ball home.

Neil Young was withdrawn from the match in the 20th minute when, what has been described as an "bit over enthusiastic with a tackle" resulted in a nasty gash (Youngy now out for 2 weeks?) from ex Pompey Fitzroy Simpson.
