Friendly AFC Bournemouth 0-2 Bristol City

I did start my customary commentary to capture key moments of this match. Sadly that wasn't necessary given the lack of key moments to report as both sides largely failed to create anything meaningful during the opening 45 minutes.

Jayden Stockey did strike a post with a well struck shot, which bounced to safety, and Brett Pitman did miss a sitter from less than 6-yards out when it might have been easier to score!

The second period saw City take the last 7 minutes in as Pitman ghosted in at the far post to slide the ball home from 2-yards out. Two minutes later Adomah rounded Flahaven to neatly slot the ball home.

Cherries chances ....... McDermott fired straight at the keeper from a tight angle, that was never going to beat him.

Overall the game was not one to get excited about, not least of all the Cherries fielded a development squad and not a first team eleven. Resting key players ahead of the new season .....? Who knows!
