Garry Becomes A Dad

He may have been lacking sleep as a result of becoming a dad 48 hours before the Shrewsbury Town game, but managed to put in a great performance against the Shrews to help keep another clean sheet. Garry was quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I’m really happy. I hurt my nose on Tuesday and only slept for about four hours because I had to come in and see Steve Hard the next morning. I then had to do the food shopping because Carla was feeling really tired. So, I thought I would get an early night, but I couldn’t sleep for some reason. I did drop off, but she woke me up at about 3.15 in the morning. I did get about half a night’s sleep on Friday, but I was up with the baby as well. I think it was nerves because any little gurgle or noise woke me up, but I’ve got some family down now so hopefully I can get some sleep. Moles and Jeff have been giving me some advice, Sammy, big Fletch and Steve Hard all have kids too and they’ve been great. We’ll have to wait and see! Whatever he wants to do in life, I’ll support him and if he wants to be a footballer then great, although I think Carla would prefer it if he wasn’t after seeing the state of my face over the past few days".
