Debutant keeper, Shwan Jalal, who had an assured performance is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I was kept quite busy in the first half which, as a goalkeeper, is not the way you like it. I had to make the saves I had to make, but I was gutted for the last-minute goal to go in. We defended really well but it was just one of those things unfortunately. It's heartbreaking at the minute but I'm sure we'll regroup for the next game".

Of the equalising goal, Jalal goes on to say: "I don't know if he meant it but it came through a load of bodies and went in the top corner. I'm very self-critical but by the time I'd seen it, it was already in the net".
