Gosling Looking Forward To Cherries Challenge

New signing, Dan Gosling, is quoted on the Clubs Official Web Site as saying: of his time at St James's Park: "The last few years have been tough mentally. People suggest I was injured a lot, but I was only injured for four months two seasons before last. Other than that, I have been fit and have trained every day. I just wasn’t being selected, which was tough. But this year I found myself in the team, playing well and my performance level was going up with every game. It was just too little, too late for me at Newcastle. I was looking for the chance to play regular football and a club that aspires to be bigger and better. I think that’s what I’ve got".

On his step down to the Championship to sign for AFC Bournemouth: "The management team, the owners and everyone connected to the club want it to be a Premier League club. Every player wants to play there and I know that’s what the people connected with it want as well. Whether it happens next season or the one after, that’s definitely the aim. We know it will be very difficult, but hopefully we can produce another good season and go one better than we did last season".
