Gowling - Embarrassed

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Gowling is quoted as saying: "It hasn't been good enough, we know that. I can only apologise to our supporters because they deserve better.

"It's a new experience for me since I've been here and not one I'm enjoying. When I played in Denmark, we were bottom for a few weeks and it wasn't nice. To be honest, it's embarrassing. I'm always disappointed when we come off after losing, but it really hurt on Tuesday. I can't put my finger on why we're not doing better. Maybe we are going through one of those periods when nothing goes right for us but we need to snap out of it - and quickly. We've certainly got to eradicate this theme of one goal being enough to kill us ...... We've got to help each other out as well. I think people are seeing things but not saying anything. We've got a good bunch of lads here but maybe we're too nice to each other. We've got to start getting on each other's case and anyone who is lagging needs to be told. Players need to be told when they've made a mistake and it shouldn't matter whether they are new or a senior player. I'm one of those people who thinks that if you're not doing something correctly then you need to be told and it doesn't matter who you are".
