Gowling Needs To Focus

Speaking with the Bournemouth Evening Echo, manager Kevin Bond is quoted as saying about Josh Gowling: "I thought he was miles away when I first came here but since he's come to believe that we all believe and trust in him, that's given him the peace of mind and confidence to give us what he gave us, which was a really good season. His strength is also his weakness. He cruises through games and can make it look easy. He's got strength, pace and athleticism but sometimes he can switch off. On occasions, and certainly when I first came here, his decision-making was letting him down. When things become so easy for you, you do have a tendency to just switch off for a second, and, instead of doing the right things, you take a chance, as we saw at Port Vale on the final day of the season".
