Grabban Goes

It will probably come as no surprise that Lewis Grabban, the Cherries leading goal scorer last season, has been sold.

Initially it was on the cards that Cardiff City were in the running after they triggered the supposed £3m release clause, but they bought elsewhere, allowing Norwich City to nip in to land Grabban in a deal which will be worth something in the region of £3m, although it's been reported as an undislcosed fee, and suggested that the money paid is less than the £3m release clause. Could that mean there someone of the ilk of Andrew Surman be poised to sign a permanent deal to come the other way after a successful loan spell last season?

No matter what happens, Rotherham United are entitled to a cut of the Cherries' profit as a condition of the deal that brought the striker to Dean Court a couple of seasons' ago.
