Having gained some match practice in a recent reserve game, Griffiths was quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I was a little bit wary at the beginning, but I was very pleased to get through. Even though it wasn't a great performance, I've got something I can build on. It's been a frustrating season and I just want to turn it around and make something of this time I've got at Bournemouth. I probably came back a bit too early but, because I want to play so much, I thought it was right for the Yeovil game a fortnight ago and I tweaked it again".
