Grimsby Town Reaction - Mariners

Mike Newell was quoted after the match as saying: "We were quite happy to get the goal and go 1-0 up. Then the whole game changed on Bosh's sending off. It was a fair tackle and their lad had him by the throat. The referee saw something totally different as he has for the Joe Widdowson one as well. I just feel the referee didn't handle the pressure. My players have handled the pressure over the last few weeks and the Bournemouth players have also dealt with it. It's not a sending off in anybody's book. It's annoyed me because the whole dressing room is flat. They have given everything they have got, particularly in the last five or six weeks. It's got us into a position where we are going to stay up but they've got nothing to be happy about. We wanted to go away from Bournemouth with a result because we've been in good form. It was going to be difficult playing with 10 men in the second-half, but we felt we would need to keep two up front because one would have made it hard. We would have ended up getting penned in our own half. It's then impossible to play with nine men".
