The Cherries have announced that they have signed Scott Guyett as he's currently without a Club following his 'by mutual consent' release from Yeovil Town.

Chief Exec, Adrian Saverimutto is quoted on the Clubs Official Web Site as saying: "It's been a long summer for everybody involved with the football club, but with the embargo now lifted this signing marks the start of Kevin rebuilding his squad to a depth that can compete in League Two this season".

Guyett is quoted as saying in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying about the surprise move: "The Bournemouth thing came from nowhere really. I was due to sign for Cambridge and when Savi called me I was on my way there yesterday morning. They had offered me a three-year contract and I'd spoken to Russell Slade (Yeovil manager) about it. He said, If they're offering you a three-year contract then it's only fair I let you go and speak to them', so I spoke to them and I was ready to go there. We had a game on Wednesday night and the rumours had started to get about that I was leaving and that night I received a call saying that Bournemouth wanted to speak to me. I was fine with that but I did say, I'm heading to Cambridge in the morning so if you want to do anything, it will have to be pretty quick'. I was on the M25 when Savi phoned and he said, We want you down here so if the contract is what you are after, will you turn the car around'? and I said, Yes'".
