Harte Keen For Honours

He might have had an illustrious career in the top flight, and on an international stage, but Ian Harte is looking to add to his CV with success at Dean Court.

The 35-year old is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I am probably hungrier now because I know that in the not so distant future, it is going to come to an end. I have played in some fantastic teams and it is only just over a year ago that I won my first medal. I want to push on and do the best I can for Bournemouth and who knows where it can take us. I have had a decent enough career but I am not finished yet and I am still hungry to push on and do as well as I can. If the younger lads need to talk to me about anything, I am always there to try to help them. Likewise, if I am not involved, I can try to talk to certain players to try to help them get on with the game. You have to be a team player. Of course, everybody wants to play and be among those first 11 names on the team-sheet. It is not always going to happen so you have to be patient and supportive of your team-mates as well. We have got a great bunch in the dressing room and we are all pulling in the same direction. We are trying to get up the table and see where it can takes us".
