Speaking after the draw against Hartlepool United, manager Sean O'Driscoll ws quoted as saying, on BBCi, that: "He wants to do well - sometimes that's the worst thing as he's uptight and needs to relax a bit. I was chuffed for his goal, as that will give him a lot of confidence and hopefully he can take it on. I thought we had the better chances, but we showed a bit of steely determination to get the result".

For Hartlepool United, their manager, Martin Scott was quoted on BBCi after the match as saying: "We battled a lot better, and showed a more committed performance than we did on Saturday. We showed great resilience - we had to as Bournemouth pass it well. Not many people will come here and get points. They had loads more possession than we did, and we can certainly improve our ball retention, but they showed great character after losing the first game".
