Hollands Walkout Averted

Last updated : 08 June 2009 By Bournemouth Co-Ordinator
Much welcome news today when it was annouced that Danny Hollands, who had slapped the Club with a 14-day notice period to walk if he wasn't paid 50% of his salary by June 12th, has withdrawn his intention to walk.

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Paul Baker is quoted as saying: "As a result of talking to Danny, he has agreed to withdraw his notice to quit. He's committed to spending his long-term future at AFC Bournemouth".

For his part, Hollands is quoted as saying: "I'm happy the situation has been resolved. Hopefully, when the club is sold, it will give stability and we can look forward to next season. There's no reason why we can't finish within the automatic promotion places. We showed last season that we're as good as anyone in the league and we all believe we're good enough to become champions. We feel that we're as good as any team in the league".
