Holmes Speaks Of Departure

In speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Derek is quoted as saying of his recent departure for Carlisle United: "Bournemouth is a great club and the majority of supporters were always fantastic to me. But there were a few who never liked me and it's very disheartening to hear people shouting at you and telling you that you are rubbish all the time. It got personal sometimes as well and that's not nice either. Once somebody's got something against you, you are never going to get a fair crack of the whip and it started to affect me. Most of the fans were excellent, very supportive and always praised the players. But there seemed to be a section who didn't like me at all".
