Eddie Howe has expressed surprise that Jordan Seabright was allowed to leave Dean Court in the Summer by previous manager Paul Groves given his excellent second half performance against the Cherries for Dagenham & Redbridge in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Howe is diplomatically quoted as saying: "I thought, for a young goalkeeper, he was outstanding. I don’t think he could have been faulted for any of the goals. He made a couple of great saves and I was really pleased for him because it was a big day for him. I remember him from the centre of excellence and he looked a really promising goalkeeper. I know he has got close ties with the club and I know he has worked closely with Neil Moss so the fact he performed so well, he would have been delighted. Knowing the player as I do, I have got to say I was slightly surprised [about his release]".
