Speaking publically of Scout Des Taylor, manager Eddie Howe is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I can’t speak highly enough of him. Without him and his hard work, we would not have functioned so well this season. He offered us his services free of charge and is a rare breed. People talk about unsung heroes and Des is certainly one of ours. He has scouted for us since the start of the season, travels up and down the country and hasn’t received a penny. He introduced himself to me at a game last season and asked if he could do a report on us. He talked about our players, about how we lined up and what we had tried to do and his report was spot on. I knew his work was good and he said that if he could do anything to help, we were to get in touch".
