Following on the heels that Steve Fletcher is to be presented with the Tim Finney Award for services to the Football League, it's been announced that manager Eddie Howe is in the running for an award in the category of Outstanding Managerial Achievement, which recognises exceptional achievement over the previous 12 months. Needless to say the way in which Eddie Howe guided the Cherries from relegation fodder to automatic promotion can't have escaped the attention of many over the last year or so.
The Cherries could do a treble at the awards ceremony in London as they are also nominated in the category of best digital content and audience growth.
The Football League Awards ceremony is being broadcast live via the Cherries World and Football League web sites on Sunday evening.
