"The first thing I'm looking for is for him to get minutes and to play," the Cherries boss said of the 20-year-old defender in the Daily Echo. "Secondly, I want him to play well and show he is better than the level that he is playing at.
"We are in the Premier League so he has to go to Coventry and, hopefully, prove he is better than everybody else and build his experiences.
"It's difficult when you haven't played for a long time consistently. You need to get those experiences somewhere and he will be doing that at League One level.
"He will be making mistakes and learning, growing and winning and all those things that go with a loan spell will be really important for his future development."
