Manager Eddie Howe had "no complaints" about the defeat, being quoted on the Clubs Official Web Site as saying: "I don’t think we played too badly, but we conceded some poor goals from our perspective. We kept the ball well at times and had some early chances, and if we had got the first goal it might have been different. But we have certainly got to learn defensively because, at this level, you get punished for every mistake. I thought both of their two strikers worked very hard and caused us problems, but some of our problems were self-inflicted. We gave the ball away in dangerous areas and if you do that against good teams, you will get punished. But it is a learning experience for a lot of our guys and it will do them the world of good. Although, it is certainly painful at the moment. We’ve got to make sure we react well on Wednesday, which we know will be a difficult game, and then we’ve got Doncaster. I think we’ve got to put it to bed but we’ve got to learn from it, and that’s what we intend to do. There’s no panic. We know where we are and we knew we were up against a good side, who themselves consolidated last season. They had days like this last year, but they made sure they stayed strong and bounced back".
