I Am Not Quitting - Bond

Kevin Bond is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I hear what they are saying but I'm not about to pack in my job and I'm not about to walk away from anything. That isn't my style, that isn't the way I am. I put up with more difficult situations than this when I was a player and got through them. I understand the supporters' frustrations and if they want to boo me at the end of each game then they can. All I would ask of them is that they stay with the players during the course of the game because doing otherwise compounds an already difficult situation at home. The crowd stayed with the lads for the whole game. They need us to give them a lift in terms of our performance and we aren't giving them that at this moment in time. Maybe my fate is in my own hands because it will be based on results or it might be a financial issue. I will do my job to the best of my ability until I am told otherwise. That's going to be the case for every manager. We can't be as bad as we are showing at times because you don't get some of the results we've had away if you're totally useless so somewhere along the line there is a bit of a stigma with playing at home and it's only us who can get over it. This season is all about staying in League One, which we will, but it's going to be hard. Given the current position, it's going to take a lot of resolve from everybody to keep us up. I don't believe we will go down but we're going to need to start winning at home if we're going to stay up. You've got to give the players hope but the plain facts at this moment in time are that we're not good enough".
