I'm Not Going Anywhere - Howe

Last updated : 03 May 2010 By Bournemouth Co-Ordinator

With mouth watering League fixtures against the likes of Southampton, Sheffield Wednesday, and possibly Charlton Athletic, plus the 'usual suspects' in the form of Bristol Rovers, Brighton & Hove Albion, Exeter City, Brentford bringing large crowds back to Dean Court, managare Eddie Howe has declared that he's not going anywhere for the 2010/2011 season.

The ever popular manager is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I will be here next season. I think it’s exciting times for the club and for everybody, and I want to be a part of that. I’m already excited about next season and trying to compete with the teams that are in League One. As soon as we knew for a fact that League One was where we were going to be, we started preparing for that. We’re already preparing for pre-season and getting things in place that we want, so the planning process starts now, which I think it has to because it’s a tough league and a big step up, so we need to be ready for it. You plan short-term – from week to week and game to game. But there always has to be a long-term aim in the background and you have to work to that. Year on year, we want to try to improve. I think the core group of players is very strong and we will want to keep them together and maybe try to add a couple to that core group. Hopefully, we will have enough to compete in the league".
