In the first minute at Brentford, Josh Gowling went down awkwardly in the first minute at Griffin Park.

Scans of the right knee have revealed that he has sustained cruicate ligament damage in his right knee and will be out for at least 6 months! A bitter blow for Club and player alike.

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, manager Sean O'Driscoll is quoted as saying: "It is a big blow for him - he will be out for the season, I'm afraid. You bank on at least six months out for an injury of this kind. As it stands, I don't think there is much point in trying to rush him back for the end of the season. Josh said he heard a pop in his knee and I had a feeling that he might have done it at the time. You hope it is less serious but unfortunately that wasn't the case".
