Ipswich Town Reaction - Cherries I

Manager Eddie Howe, speaking on BBC Radio Solent after the match was quoted as saying: "I felt we deserved three points today and I'm disappointed we couldn't force a second goal, but full credit to Ipswich with how they defended the last period of the game. In the first 15 to 20 minutes they started the game really well and you could see they are a team coming here in really good form. We had to withstand that pressure and grow into the game, which we did. We had some great chances in the first half that we didn't take, which we are slightly frustrated with because at this level, and with the high standard of football, you need to take your opportunities when they come. But thankfully we stuck with it, and at 1-0 down we didn't let our heads drop. We scored a good, and deserved goal, and we're just disappointed we didn't come away with three points. They are two very good players. They were outstanding for us last season and they've been very good for us in patches this season. I think the only reason they are not starting games for us at the moment is the strength of the squad and we are going to need that to continue to pick up results. It pleases me no end that two subs have come on and made an impact. Hopefully it will give everybody a lift who's out of the squad to know that they are very important to us".
