The Jersey Evening Post is singing the praises of Brett Pitman who originates from the Island.

The teenage striker used to play for Junior Muratti and St Paul's FC extols the fact that Pitman scored the equaliser in the reserve match against Cheltenham Town.

He is quoted as saying "I've settled quickly and I'm happy with the way things are going. I've scored five times for the U18s, twice in a friendly and now once for the Reserves. Leaving Jersey is certainly the best thing I've ever done. I'm happy where I'm staying, and Jack Cannon - also from Jersey - lives just around the corner and I'm playing football every day. I'm surprised how well things have gone and I know things can change quickly too".
