Jalal Home Truths

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Jalal reveals that: "I had a lot on my plate with my son being born and I was up and down in the car trying to make games. But he just pulled me aside and, all credit to the gaffer, he told me how it is and that he wanted to rest me on Tuesday. He wanted me to take a look back and see from the side lines what I could be doing a bit better. I took that into the game on Saturday and I felt a million dollars".

On the FA Cup win, and Army training camp visit, Jalal went on to say: "We got a fantastic result and everybody played for each other. It was just what we needed. We had two days hard work at the army camp which brought everyone together. Everyone was tired by Saturday but somehow we all pulled together and got a fantastic result. It was challenging and very disciplined. You can see it's there to break you and see how much you can take. All the lads acquitted themselves really well and we basically went through the same things a recruit would".
