Shwan Jalal has spoken about his determination to return to full fitness following surgery to correct a back problem.
The popular keeper is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "The operation went to plan and I was delighted with it. The surgeon said the piece of disc was bigger than we thought, so he removed that and the amazing thing was I woke up with absolutely no pain whatsoever. The rehab is going really well. I am back in the gym doing work and just getting back into the swing of things. Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks, I can really step it up and take it from there".
