Jalal Still Committed

Having played a starring role over the past few seasons for AFC Bournemouth, Shwan Jalal has found himself sitting on the bench in all but the JPT Trophy match so far this season.

With Eddie Mitchell looking to off load the keeper, Jalal himself has been quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying about the current situation: "I am happy to sit down and talk to the club. It is from the chairman’s side that he has said talks are unlikely to reopen, so I have got to respect that. I have still got a year to run on my contract, I am still a Bournemouth player and my duty is to Bournemouth. I will keep giving 100 per cent as I usually do. To be brutally honest, I felt I had not done anything to lose my place. It was just one of those things – that is football – and I have to take it on the chin and fight to get back that place. I have just tried to get my head down, stay behind to do extra sessions in the gym and keep myself fit and make myself ready to come in whenever I am needed. All I can do is keep showing a good attitude and hope I get back my place".
