With the Janaury transfer window closing at 2300 GMT this evening, manager Lee Bradbury has said that the Cherries activity in the January window is now complete.
The Cherries boss is quoted on the Clubs Official Web Site as saying: "This is the end of the rebuilding process and I feel the jigsaw is complete. That's us done and we won't be signing anyone else. The two signings we have made this week are very good for us, they are players that could have gone to Championship clubs and other League 1 clubs, but we've managed to secure their signatures and it's a massive step in the right direction. Donal McDermott is a very creative player who can play on either wing or in the hole, and he gives me another quality option and that is really important. I'm a big fan of his and he ticks a lot of boxes for us. He works hard for the team and has a lot of qualities, and for me to bring someone like him in is exciting. He wasn't involved much at Huddersfield for whatever reason, but when Donal is match fit and playing, he is one of the most creative players in this division. The aim was always to bring two players in. I am very mindful of the size of the squad, but at the same time I want to have good strength in depth and we have to get that balance right. People are still saying about the money we've spent, but we're still in the black from the players that we lost last year. Some of the figures being thrown around for what we have spent on Matt and Donal are way off track. We've spent money, but we have spent it wisely and have brought in two very good players this week for what we've paid. I take a lot of pride in signing good players and good people for this football club, and it's not something I take lightly. That's why it's taken so long to get our targets".
