O'Driscoll is quoted in several sources, including the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I've talked to him but I could give you the names of 50 other players I've talked to as well. He's out of contract at Colchester, he's a left-sided player and somebody who would fit the bill so we've spoken to him just to register our interest. That's the procedure. People become available and agents ring you and you speak to them to see what their situation is. He would be keen on a move to Bournemouth so I'll speak to him probably sometime next week. I've already said my priority is to get my own out-of-contract players sorted out before we do anything else or try to bring in new players just as a courtesy more than anything else".
