Joe Roach ..... The Most Important Man At Dean Court?

Is Joe Roach the most important member of the back room staff at Dean Court? Many think so given the talent he's helped nuture in to the Cherries first team over the past few seasons - Brett Pitman and Josh McQuoid to name but two.

Current Cherries graduates who have risen from the youth team to first team speak highly of Roach.

Danny Ings is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I wouldn’t be where I am today if it hadn’t been for Joe. He has made me the player I am and I appreciate everything he has done for me. When I had my long-term injury last season, he didn’t just push me to one side and leave me. He spoke to me all the time and kept me involved. I have got everything to thank him for because I think Eddie Howe relied on Joe for pushing me through as he didn’t see me play too often last season".

Joe Partington is quoted as saying: "I can only speak about Joe in the highest regard. He took a gamble on me after I had come in on trial as a 16-year-old. He has done lots for me since I have been here and I will always be grateful to him for that".
