Swindon Town booked their place in League One for the 2007/08 season with a 1-1 draw against already promoted Walsall at The County Ground. Ifil scored the crucial opening goal for the Wiltshire side in the 52nd minute. The best was saved til last as Keates rifled home a lovely shot in the final stages of the game. The result sees Swindown claim the third automatic promotion place, and Walsall crowned as League Two Champions as Hartlepool United lost at home to Bristol Rovers. Swindon Town 3rd, Walsall 1st.

The remaining place in League One will go to one of Franchise FC, Lincoln City, Bristol Rovers or Shrewsbury Town, who do battle in the end of season Play-Offs.
