A relativey quiet opening 45 minutes didn't see too many chances. One which was created came from Brian Stock chasing down a dodgy backpass. Unfortunately the resulting shot went in to the side netting.

The second period saw games 3-goals. Oatway netted following a pass from Nicholas with Hammond heading the Seagulls 2nd with 20 minutes to go.

Bournemouth's consolation came 10 minutes from time with a trade mark Brian Stock free kick.
