Derek Holmes is struggling to be fit for the start of the season with a groin strain. Carl Fletcher has been appointed as club captain in the continued absence of Steve Fletcher.
Jim Marshall is appointed as the new club physio. He has worked in the past with Tony Pulis at both Bristol City and Portsmouth.

6 July
The new TV deal with Sky could go some way to help out clubs like AFCB. The League is also said to be close to securing a deal with BBC or ITV for a highlights programme as well.
News linking Matt Holland with a move to Fulham in the Sunday press is being played down by Ipswich Town.
Ian Bishop is back in Britain and has joined Barry Town following a spell with Miami Fusion.
Brian Stock is hoping to establish himself as Richard Hughes’ replacement in midfield.
Michael Menetrier has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

9 July
Plans to sell the ground will be discussed at a key fans’ meeting. The AFC Bournemouth Community Mutual meets at Dean Court tomorrow evening. Club Chairman Tony Swaisland says that the sale and leaseback scheme is “the only game in town”.

17 July
Playerscheme innovator Peter Phillips has been invited to join the AFCB as a non-executive director. The scheme has already raised something in the region of £70k.
Walsall keeper Craig Jones has joined for a week’s training and may get a part in tonight’s Crystal Palace friendly. Fellow triallist, Robert Kember, son of ex Palace star Steve Kember could also get a run out.
AFCBISA have organised a “Walk Out If You Love Bournemouth” protest ten minutes before the end of the Crystal Palace friendly. 3
