Kuffour On Signing For The Cherries

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Kuffour is quoted as saying: "Every season, my hopes are to finish as high as I can and hopefully to get promotion. Every manager is optimistic and Kevin Bond is no different. Personally, I had a reasonably good season with Brentford but was disappointed they went down. I was also disappointed to see Torquay go down after what had happened last year. I think Bournemouth are a better team with better players and I haven't even considered the prospect of us fighting relegation next season. I played in this division last season and feel as though I am used to it now. I have also played against Bournemouth a few times and know they are a good side".

He also went on to say that: "I like the stadium and the fans seem good but the main thing for me was the manager and his ideas. He has spoken to me about how he wants to play and the kind of players he wants to get into the club and that was appealing to me".
