It would appear that a third club has entered the race to sign Josh Gowling after the defender revealed that he has received another offer to tempt him away from Dean Court.

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo Gowling is quoted as saying: "I had another offer yesterday from another club, so I'm looking over that," he explained. I wanted to look at the contract Bournemouth sent me, so they need to sort that out because apparently it's been sent back to the club. know roughly what they're offering but until I've seen the terms I don't know whether it's a good contract or not. I'll look over the other offers and decide what I want to do".

Meanwhile, Shaun Cooper has been linked with a move to Gresty Road to join Crewe Alexandra on a 2-year deal. Manager Kevin Bond is quoted as saying in the Bournemouth Evening Echo that news of Cooper's departure was a bit premature: "I hope he's not about to join anybody other than us. I'm sure there will be interest for Shaun, as there will be for one or two other players, but we've made him a good offer and I want to keep him. Shaun is a good footballer, an intelligent player with bags of ability. He can play a number of different positions although I think central midfield is his best. It wasn't until the second half of the season that we started to see the best of him. He had a stuttering start and hardly did any pre-season training due to one or two niggling problems. He was playing catch-up at the start of the season and only really got going midway through the campaign. He was excellent during the latter part of the year".
