Even though Fryatt put the Walsall ahead on 7 seconds, Steve Fletcher (40th) levelled and Garreth O'Connor (53rd) made sure that the points headed back to the south coast. Walsall 17th, AFCB 5th.

Bradford City were almost on the end of a shock result at London Road against Peterborough United. United had managed to get themselves in to a handy 2-goal lead before half time through Thompson (28) and Legg (31). But veteran Dean Windass secured a point for the Yorkshire side with a brace in the 64th and 73rd minutes. Peterborough United 23rd, Bradford City 10th.

Chesterfield made sure of League One football against Huddersfield Town with a 2-1 home win. Nicholson netted a brace of penalties in the 53rd and 78th minutes before Mirfin got one back for the visitors, but it wasn't enough. Chesterfield 12th, Huddersfield Town 15th.

Colchester United virtually put the death nail in to Stockport County's League One future, winning 1-2 at Edgeley Park. Warren Feeney put the home side ahead in the 4th minute, but Danns levelled with a 30th minute penalty, and then followed up with an injury time winner. There were two other games in League One, both ended 0-0. Bristol City and Barnsley could not generate a goal between them, leaving those two 8th and 13th respectively. The same was also true for Doncaster Rovers and Brentford - 11th and 7th respectively.
