While others are fighting with each other, it remains just Luton Town and Hull City squabbling over who will be Champions of League One. Luton Town currently lead the way as they edged out Blackpool in a 1-0 victory at Kenilworth Road in front of a meagre 7816 fans! Steve Howard scored the only goal of the game on 15 minutes. Luton Town 1st, Blackpool 16th.

Hull City remain hopeful of a Luton slip, but remain 3 points behind the leaders even though they eased past Barnsley 2-1 at the KC Stadium in front of 19341. Cort put City ahead on 4 minutes, which was followed after the break with an equaliser from Nardiello on 64 before Fagan secured the winner 5 minutes later. Hull City 2nd, Barnsley 13th.

Sheffield Wednesday entertained Tranmere Rovers in the divisions game of the day at Hillsborough. The Owls took the lead from the penalty spot on 31 minutes through Brunt, leaving Jackson to level before half time, and Hume to score what proved to be the winner on the hour mark. The result leaves Tranmere almost certain of a play-off place. Sheffield Wednesday 4th, Tranmere Rovers 3rd.

Hartlepool United have found some form just in time, as they knocked Swindon Town for a 3-0 scoreline. Porter opened the scoring on 31 minutes, which was added to after the break by Butler (49) and Humphreys (83).

AFC Bournemouth travelled to North Wales to equal a long standing Club record of 4 straight away wins, beating Wrexham 2-1 in the process to claim their 9th away win of the campaign. Stephen Purches and Wade Elliott struck in 9 second half minutes (58 & 67 respectively) before Chris Armstrong scored what proved to be a consolation in the 69th minute. The result leaves Wrexham deep in trouble and looking at a return to League Two. Wrexham 22nd, AFC Bournemouth 6th.

Brentford had the dubious pleasure of confirming Stockport County's relegation to League Two with a 2-1 away win at Edgeley Park. Steve (P) Fitzgerald netted first on 57 minutes, with Stockport County levelling through a Le Fondre penalty 10 minutes from time. But Sodje scored 4 minutes before the end to confirm the home sides demise. Stockport County 24th (r), Brentford 7th.

Despite a 2-week break because of international call-ups, Bristol City kept up their hopes of making the play-offs with a 2-0 win over Port Vale. Lita (14) and Heffernan (68) confirm that the points were staying at Ashton Gate. Bristol City 8th, Port Vale 18th.

Doncaster Rovers entertained Colchester United on Friday night, producing a 1-1 draw. The visitors took the lead in the 14th minute through Keith, before Guy levelled in the 76th minute. Doncaster Rovers 9th, Colchester United 14th.

Huddersfield Town notched up their 4th straight win with a 2-1 success over hapless Peterborough United at London Road. Brandon put the away side ahead on 21 before Purser levelled on the stroke of half time. Schofield effectively nailed the final nail in to Peterborough's League One status with an 84th minute winner. Peterborough United 23rd, Huddersfield Town 12th.

Much improved Oldham Athletic claimed a point away to Franchise FC, Beckett put the Latics ahead on 5 minutes. They must have though that they'd done enough, but Edds levelled in the 84th minute to extend the Franchisee's unbeaten run to 11 games. Franchise FC 20th, Oldham Athletic 17th.

Walsall kept their heads just above water as they drew 1-1 at Bescot against Torquay United. Akinfenwa opened the sdcoring for the visitors on 59 minutes, but the Gulls couldn't hold on to their lead as Fryatt levelled in the 80th minute. Walsall 19th, Torquay United 21st.

The only other game in League One was between Chesterfield (14th) and Bradford City (10th), which ended goal less.
