Congratulations to Barnsley with their penalties win over Swansea City at the Millennium Stadium over the weekend, in the Play-Off Final. Ex-Cherry keeper, Nick Colgan, saved the penalty that gave the Yorkshire side a place in the Championship. Penalties were required after the 2 sides finished 2-2 after 90 minutes and extra time. The game was played out in front of 55,419!

Congratulations also to Cheltenham Town who gained promotion to League One with a single goal victory over Grimsby Town in front of 29,196. The solitary goal was scored by Guinan in the 63rd minute. Manager John Ward was quoted after the match as saying: "I'm just delighted for the lads - they thoroughly deserved it".

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson is to make Swindon Town goalkeeper Rhys Evans his first summer signing.

Bristol City chairman Steve Lansdown insists striker Steve Brooker is staying at Ashton Gate. Lansdown told the local paper that: "Our offer is there with him and we want to extend his contract by another year".

Nottingham Forest have appointed Northampton Town manager Colin Calderwood as the new boss at the City Ground in a 3-year deal.
