Swansea City could be promoted this Saturday if results go their way in League One after the top-of-the-table clashes this evening.

Doncaster Rovers lost at home to Yorkshire rivals Leeds United at the Keepmoat Stadium. The only goal of the game came in the 20th minute when Sheehan netted for Leeds United. Doncaster Rovers 3rd, Leeds United 7th.

Carlisle United failed to close the gap at the top of the table as they slipped to their first home defeat, after 14 straight wins, against play-off chasing Nottingham Forest at Brunton Park. Chambers gave Forest a 76th minute lead, with McCleary wrapping up the points in the final few seconds of the game. Carlisle United 2nd, Nottingham Forest 4th.

This means that Swansea City will be promoted to the Championship if they beat AFC Bournemouth at the Liberty Stadium and Doncaster Rovers loose on their travels at Huddersfield Town.

The other game to be played this evening saw Gillingham edge a step closer to safety after they saw off Luton Town at Priestfield. Parkin gave the visitors a 19th minute lead, but saw that advantage eliminated in the 75th minute whrn Jackson levelled. But it was the home sides who went home happy, just one point off safety as Jackson scored the winner with just 3 minutes left. Gillingham 21st, Luton Town 23rd.

Results mean that Port Vale will be relegated to League Two if they loose at Brighton & Hove Albion. Meanwhile Luton Town could follow if they fail to beat Northampton Town at Sixfields and Crewe Alexandra pick up any points at home to Southend United. A home win for Crewe would just about seal the fate of AFC Bournemouth at the same time. Gillingham travel to Millwall, with both sides needing to win.
