Just as well Brighton & Hove Albion have bagged the Championship as their form has slipped badly since promotion was confirmed. Home defeats must be like buses at Withdean - nothing all season, then two in quick succession as Huddersfield Town nicked the points to keep up the pressure in the race for the 2nd automatic promotion place. Afobe gave the Terriers the lead in the 8th minute, with Barnes levelling just after the break. Afobe netted his 2nd of the afternoon in the 61st minute, with Sparrow restoring parity 8 minutes later. Ward scored the all important winner on the stroke of full time. Brighton & Hove Albion 1st, Huddersfield Town 3rd.

South Coast Club maintained their push for the 2nd automatic promotion place with a comfortable 3-0 win over Brentford at Griffin Park. Lallana got the Saints off the mark in the 16th minute, with Connolly doubling the advantage on the half hour. Gobern put the result beyond doubt in the 91st minute. Brentford 10th, South Coast Club 2nd.

Peterborough United had to settle for a 2-2 against Rochdale at Spotland. Akpa Akpro got Dale off to a flying start in the 1st minute, with Mendez-Laing levelling on the stroke of half time. Tomlin then gave Posh the lead just after the break, with Dawson levelling with 3 minutes from the end of the match. Rochdale 9th, Peterborough United 4th.

Franchise FC booked their place in the end of season play-offs with a 2-1 win over relegation threatened Notts County at Stadium:Franchise. Baldock and Balanta gave Franchise the lead with goals in the 52nd and 60th minutes, leaving Hughes to pull one back for the visitors in the 62nd minute, but it wasn't enough to alleviate County's relegation fears. Franchise FC 5th, Notts County 19th.

AFC Bournemouth booked their place in the end of season play-offs following a 2-2 draw against Hartlepool United at Victoria Road. Lovell gave the Cherries the lead in the 29th minute, with McDermott doubling the advantage 9 minutes later. Boyd pulled one back from the penalty spot 7 minutes after the restart, with goalkeeper Flinders heading the the leveller in the 94th minute to deny the Cherries their 7th away win of the season. Hartlepool United 18th, AFC Bournemouth 6th.

Leyton Orient will be in League One season following a 3-0 stuffing at Brisbane Road against Tranmere Rovers. Cresswell (8th min) and a brace from mcGurk (45th and 49th mins) ended the O's dream of a play-off place. Leyton Orient 7th, Tranmere Rovers 15th.

Exeter City left Devon neighbours, Plymouth Argyle on the brink of relegation at St James's Park. Dunne scored the only goal of the game just after half time. Argyle have 2 matches left and are 6 points adrift of safety. Exeter City 8th, Plymouth Argyle 23rd.

Dagenham & Redbridge live to fight on the final day of the season following a 3-0 win over Carlisle United at Victoria Road. A Nurse brace in the 4th and 29th minutes, together with a Green strike in the 84th minute, leaves the Daggers a point off safety with one match left. Dagenham & Redbridge 21st, Carlisle United 11th.

Yeovil Town are finishing the season with a florish, ending their home campaign with a 4-2 win over Colchester United at Huish Park. Alcock got the Glovers off the mark in the 15th minute, with Tutte doubling the advantage in the 22nd minute. Vincent reduced the arrears for the Essex side in the 43rd minute only for Bowditch to restore the 2-goal difference a minute later. Mooney gave Col U a glimour of hope in the 63rd minute, only to see Welsh snuff that out a minute later. Yeovil Town 17th, Colchester United 12th.

Bristol Rovers are all but down, barring a major swing in goal difference on the final day of the season following a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday at The Memorial Ground. Miller gave the Owls the lead in the 3rd minute, from the penalty spot, with Hoskins responding in kind 9 minutes later, also from the penalty spot. Rovers need a win next weekend, with other results going in their favour, PLUS a swing of at least 16 goals too! It's not going to happen! Bristol Rovers 22nd, Sheffield Wednesday 13th.

Walsall are in the box seat to beat the drop of League Two following a 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic at Bescot. Grigg (34th min) and Gray (78th min) sealed the win, which means that the Saddlers going in to their final match of the season at St Mary's needing to better what ever the Daggers and the Pirates do in their respective games. Walsall 20th, Charlton Athletic 14th.

Relegated Swindon Town completed their home campaign with just 5 home wins. Their 9th home defeat of the season came against Oldham Athletic as Taylor netted a brace in the 17th and 65th minutes. Swindon Town 24th, Oldham Athletic 16th.
