Southend United just about guaranteed a play-off place with a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at Roots Hall. Gower put the home side in the 24th minute, with Barrett finishing things off in the 30th minute. Southend United 4th, Brighton & Hove Albion 9th.
Nottingham Forest still have some work to do to guarantee a play-off place following a 1-1 draw against Bristol Rovers at The City Ground. McGugan fired the home side ahead in the 33rd minute with Lambert levelling in the 64th minute. Nottingham Forest 5th, Bristol Rovers 16th.
