The two biggest winners in League One last weekend went head to head at Meadow Lane as Notts County entertained Charlton Athletic. Wagstaff gave the Addicks the lead in the 35th minute, with Hayes doubling the advantage in first half stoppage time. Montano pulled one back on the hour, but it wasn't enough as the Londoners maintained their 100% start to the season. Notts County 7th, Charlton Athletic 1st.

Sheffield United have signalled their intentions quite clearly with a 100% start to the new season as they saw off Brentford 2-0 at Bramhall Lane. Slew (49th min) and Cresswell (70th min) scored the goal to ensure the win. Sheffield United 2nd, Brentford 9th.

Tranmere Rovers are the only other side with a 100% winning start as they won 1-0 aagainst Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road. Buchanan scored the only goal of the game in the 60th minute. Leyton Orient 23rd, Tranmere Rovers 3rd.

Colchester United had to settle for a point against Wycombe Wanderers, the same outcome (in normal time) as their Carling Cup encounter earlier in the week. Vincent gave the Essex side the lead in the 24th minute, only for Rendell to level from the penalty spot just after the hour mark. Colchester United 4th, Wycombe Wanderers 16th.

Franchise FC claimed their first win of the campaign away at St James's Park against Exeter City. Ibehre (23rd min) and Bowditch (90th min) did enough to nick the points. Exeter City 22nd, Franchise FC 5th.

The scoring was all done and dusted within the first 5 minutes at Victoria Park as Hartlepool United and Walsall settled for a 1-1 draw. macken gave the Saddlers a 3rd minute lead from the penalty spot, with Nish levelling 2 minutes later. Hartlepool United 13th, Walsall 6th.

Have Oldham Athletic a long season ahead of them following a 3-1 defeat at Huish against Yeovil Town? Upson (49th min), Williams (74th min) and a Wotton penalty (82nd min) put the result beyond doubt before a Reid consolation penalty in the 92nd min. Yeovil Town 8th, Oldham Athletic 24th.

If Sheffield Wednesday have any intentions of getting promoted they'll have to do better against the likes of AFC Bournemouth following a 2-0 defeat at Dean Court. Barrett gave the Cherries the lead in the 38th minutem, with Arter putting the result beyond doubt 7 minutes before the end. AFC Bournemouth 11th, Sheffield Wednesday 10th.

Carlisle United got off the mark with a 2-0 win over newly promoted Bury at Gigg Lane. Berrett (68th min) and Noble (93rd min) scored the goals to take the points back up the M6. Bury 21st, Carlisle United 12th.

Huddersfield Town haven't quite got back in to their stride following their play-off disappointment as they could only draw 2-2 against Rochdale at Spotland. Novak gave the Terriers the lead in the 15th minute, with Akpa Akpro levelling in the 43rd minute. Ward restored the advantage in the 69th minute only to see Grimes salvage a point a minute from the end. Rochdale 20th, Huddersfield Town 14th.
