Port Vale maintained their 100% start to the season with a 1-0 away win over Oldham Athletic who also maintained their 100% start - but for different reasons. Sodje scored the only goal of the game at Boundary Park in the 65th minute. Oldham Athletic 22nd, Port Vale 1st.

Goal from Lester and Holt in the 44th and 72nd minutes respectively gave Nottingham Forest the prefect start to their away campaign in League One against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road. Both sides maintain their respective 100% starts. Blackpool 23rd, Nottingham Forest 2nd.

Odejayi scored the only goal of the game, in the 7th minute, for newly promoted Cheltenham Town against Tranmere Rovers at Whaddon Road. This maintains Cheltenham's 100% start to the season. Cheltenham Town 3rd, Tranmere Rovers 13th.

Brentford's Moore scored the only goal of the game, in the 70th minute, against Northampton Town at Sixfields to secure victory while maintaining the Bees 100% start to the campaign. Northampton Town 17th, Brentford 4th.

Brighton & Hove Albion claimed their 2nd win of the campaign with a 1-0 victory over Gillingham at Withdean. Robinson scored the only goal of the game in the 66th minute. Brighton 5th, Gillingham 12th.

League history came at the Galpharm Stadium where Huddersfield Town ran out 3-0 winners against Rotherham United. Beckett gave the home side the lead in the 35th minute with Abbott doubling that 10 minutes later. The moment of history came when Taylor Fletcher scored in the 78th minute which was the 500,000th goal in the history of the League. Huddersfield Town 8th, Rotherham United 24th.

Doncaster Rovers claimed their first of the campaign over relegated Crewe Alexandra at Belle Vue with an emphatic 3-1 win. The script was not read first as Maynard gave the visitors the lead in the 10th minute, but that was cancelled out in the 18th minute by Dyer. After the break further goals from Horlock (62) and Coppinger (70) wrapped up the points for the Yorkshire side. Doncaster Rovers 9th, Crewe Alexandra 19th.

A Murray goal in the first minute gave Bristol City a dream start against Bradford City at Valley Parade. The joy didn't last until half time as two quick goals, both timed at 41 minutes, from Windass and Graham meant that the points remained in Yorkshire. Bradford City 10th, Bristol City 11th.

Newly promoted Leyton Orient further dented Millwall if they had any ambitions to lead the way in League One at this early stage with a 2-0 win at Brisbane Road. Steele gave the home side the lead in the 44th minute, which was followed up with a strike from Alexander in the 77th minute. Leyton Orient 14th, Millwall 20th.

Even though Swansea City were reduced to 10 men when Tate was sent off in the 15th minute, against Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park, it was the visitors who took the lead on the stroke of half time through Robinson. A Crosby penalty just after the restart and a Sharp goal in the 66th minute gave the home side the lead, it was not to last as Fallon levelled in the 77th minute for a share of the points. Scunthorpe United 18th, Swansea City 16th.

Finally, Chesterfield (6th), Carlisle (7th) and Yeovil Town (14th), AFC Bournemouth (21st), all battled out 0-0 draws.
