Swansea City maintained their lead at the top of League One with a cool 3-0 win over Southend United at The Liberty Stadium. Feeney fired the Welsh side ahead in the 18th minute, but the home fans then had to wait a further 40 minutes before Rangel extended the lead in the 58th minute. The points were confirmed when Butler made it 3 in the 83rd minute. Swansea City 1st, Southend United 6th.

Carlisle United kept up the pressure at the top of the table with a 1-0 win over promotion rivals Leyton Orient at Brunton Park. The only goal was scored by Garner in the 50th minute. Carlisle United 2nd, Leyton Orient 4th.

Nottingham Forest failed to make head way, but kept in touch with the leaders with a hard fought draw with Northampton Town at The City Ground. Forest took the lead in the 15th minute through McGugan. The visitors hit back with 2 quick goals in the 59th and 65 minutes through Hubertz and Jones, before Agogo levelled to salvage a point in the final few seconds. Nottingham Forest 3rd, Northampton Town 18th.

Walsall were held by Leeds United at Bescot with a 1-1 draw. Mooney gave the Saddlers the lead in the 76th minute and probably thought that was enough to secure a win before Thompson popped up with a 90th minute equaliser. Walsall 9th, Leeds United 5th.

After their recent slump, Yeovil Town are back within touching distance of the play-off places again following a 2-1 win over Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium. Way gave the visitors a 37th minute lead with Stewart adding to the advantage in the 78th minute. An own goal by SKiverton in the 90th minute was a consolation for the home side. Doncaster Rovers 10th, Yeovil Town 7th.

Brighton & Hove Albion maintained their push for a play-off place with an emphatic 3-0 away win over Swindon Town at The County Ground. Forster got the visitors off to a great start with a 3rd minute goal, which was followed up with goals from Robinson on the stroke of half time and Hammond in the 73rd minute. Swindon Town 16th, Brighton & Hove Albion 8th.

Hartlepool United blitzed Crewe Alexandra with a powerful 2nd half display as they ran in 3-goals from Nelson (67 mins) and a brace from Barker (85 and 88 mins - the latter from the penalty spot). Hartlepool United 12th, Crewe Alexandra 15th.

Huddersfield Town eased themselves in to a mid-table position at the expense of Bristol Rovers, who seem to be heading for a relegation scrap. Wallwork gave Town a 17th minute lead. Pipe levelled in the 51st minute, but a point was not to be as Jevons scored the winner 4 minutes later. Huddersfield Town 13th, Bristol Rovers 19th.

Millwall end up on the wrong end of a 5-goal thriller at the New Den against Oldham Athletic. Hughes gave the visitors a 32nd minute lead, only to see Simpson level in the 38th minute and Whitbread put the home side ahead on the stroke of half time. A second half brace, to complete his hat trick from Hughes in the 74th minute (from the penalty spot) and in the 80th minute ensured that the points went back to Greater Manchester. Millwall did win the yellow card count 5-2 and also saw Simpson sent off in the 40th minute. Millwall 20th, Oldham Athletic 14th.

Gillingham gave AFC Bournemouth their first home win of the campaign, and their first in the League since March 24th! Pitman scored the only goal of the game in the 34th minute to secure a precious 3 points for the struggling south coast side. AFC Bournemouth 23rd, Gillingham 17th.

Cheltenham Town also secured a vital win on home territory, which came on Friday night at the expense of Luton Town. Lindegaard scored the only goal of the game in the 2nd minute. Cheltenham Town 21st, Luton Town 24th.

The only other game played in League One over the weekend saw Port Vale (22nd) draw 0-0 with Tranmere Rovers (11th) at Vale Park.
