Swansea City slipped up on their travels for only the third time this season as Doncaster Rovers won 2-1 at Belle Vue. McIndoe put the home side ahead in the 16th minute from penalty spot, before Ricketts levelled in the 24th minute. The winner came courtesy of Heffernan with 6 minutes to spare. Doncaster Rovers 8th, Swansea City 1st.

Brentford piled on the pressure for Tranmere Rovers boss, Brian Little, as the Londoners walked away with an emphatic 4-1 away win! Newman and Tabb put Brentford in to a clear 2-0 lead in the 12th and 14th minutes respectively before Zola pulled one back in the 23rd minute. The 2-goal cushion was restored in the 32nd minute then O'Connor scored from the spot. The fourth came in the 53rd minute through Owusu. Tranmere Rovers 20th, Brentford 2nd.

Huddersfield Town and Southend United draw at a blank at the Galpharm Stadium in front of 11,223. Huddersfield Town 3rd, Southend United 6th.

Colchester United maintained their fine run of form with a good 2-0 win over Franchise FC at Layer Road. Danns put the home side ahead in the 13th minute, but then had to wait until the 90th for Iwelumo to make sure of the points from the penalty spot. Colchester United 4th, Franchise FC 22nd.

Yeovil Town beat in form Barnsley at Huish with a 2-1 win even though Williams had put the visitors ahead in the 15th minute. They levelled just after half time through Poole, and then claimed all three points through Sodje in the 73rd minute. Yeovil Town 17th, Barnsley 5th.

Chesterfield drew 1-1 with Oldham Athletic at Saltergate. Both goals came in the second half as Warne put Oldham in front 2 minutes after the break. Allison levelled for the home side in the 69th minute. Chesterfield 7th, Oldham Athletic 12th.

AFC Bournemouth claimed an undeserved win at home to Gillingham at Dean Court. Harris had given the Gills a deserved lead in the 62nd minute before Hayter levelled in the 66th minute and Surman popped up to head home for the unlikely winner in stoppage time at the end of the game! AFC Bournemouth 9th, Gillingham 18th.

The Friday night match between Scunthorpe United and Nottingham Forest saw Scunny claim their forst win in 6 with a fine 3-1 victory at Glanford Park, and do the double over Forest at the same time. Ridley gave Scunny a first half lead in the 29th minute. Taylor equalised from the penalty spot in the 65th minute before Sunthorpe's Taylor restored the home sides lead with Bryne making sure of the win in the 83rd minute. Scunthorpe United 15th, Nottingham Forest 10th.

Walsall left to the 85th minute to claim the only goal of the game to beat Hartlepool United at Bescot. Fryatt (who else?) made sure of the points with his 14th of the season. Walsall 11th, Hartlepool United 14th.

Bradford City slipped up again at home as Rotherham United claimed their third away win of the season at Valley Parade. Williamson and Burton gave the visitors a 2-0 advantage with strikes in the 21st and 60th minutes. Bradfords consolation came from the penalty spot in the 77th minute through Windass. Bradford City 13th, Rotherham United 19th.

Bristol City claimed only their 2ns away win of the campaign with a 1-0 win over Port Vale at Vale Park. Their goal came from Brooker on the stroke of half time. Port Vale 16th, Bristol City 23rd.

Swindon Town and Blackpool could only draw 0-0 at the County Ground in front of 5766. Swindon Town 24th, Blackpool 21st.
