Swansea City open up a 2-point gap at the top of the table as they claimed their 7th home win of the campaign. Their latest victims are Scunthorpe United who have slipped badly in recent weeks. Robinson got the Welsh side off the mark in the 52nd minute, with Forbes making sure of the points in the 86th. Swansea City 1st, Scunthorpe United 16th.

Huddersfield Town let 2 points slip from their grasp at the National Hockey Stadium as Franchise FC came back to claim a point. Abbott got the Yorkshire side off the mark in the 6th minute with the lead doubled by Booth in the 63rd. All seemed safe until Rizzo pulled one back in the 80th minute. The points were eventually shared when goal scoring machine McLeod levelled in the 82nd. Huddersfield paid a heavy price for sharing the points as they finished the match with 9-men (Mirfin & Brandon shown red), with another 4 shown yellow! Franchise FC 18th, Huddersfield Town 2nd.

Brentford hoisted themselves up a place, but were made to work by Yeovil Town at Griffin Park. Jones put the hosts ahead by putting past his own keeper in the 5th minute, with Tabb extending the lead in the 12th. Harrold pulled one back just before the break (37th minute). Johnson then levelled in the 67th before Turner scored the winner for the Bees with 3 minutes to spare. Brentford 3rd, Yeovil Town 19th.

Southend United drew at blank against Chesterfield in a 0-0 draw at Roots Hall. Southend United 4th, Chesterfield 7th.

Barnsley won out 2-1 against Tranmere Rovers at Oakwell. All three goals came in the second half with Devaney scoring the first for the home side in the 57th minute and Richards scoring a secind from the penalty spot in the 76th minute. Tranmere Rovers claimed a consolation in the 90th minute through Facey. Barnsley 5th, Tranmere Rovers 20th.

Colchester United's run continued with a 0-1 away win over Hartlepool United. Cureton claimed the only goal of the game in the 58th minute. Hartlepool United 15th, Colchester United 6th.

AFC Bournemouth claimed the biggest away win of the evening up at Blackpool, running out 3-1 winners to claim their 4th away win of the campaign. Wright had put Blackpool ahead in the 4th minute, but a Jamie Hayter hat trick (25, 26 & 67 pen) was more than enough to claim the points for the Southern sea side resort. Blackpool 21st, AFC Bournemouth 8th.

Nottingham Forest just need to nail down their away form and they'd go straight back up. As it they are relying on their home form to do so! Their Tuesday evening match up against Port Vale generated their 8th home win, which came complements of a Tyson goal in the 30th minute. Nottingham Forest 9th, Port Vale 11th.

Bradford City piled more pressure of Bristol City, who look to be heading to life in League Two next season! An own goal, courtesy of Carey (78th min) was enough to separate the sides. Bristol City 24th, Bradford City 10th.

Oldham Athletic won the mid-table clash with Walsall with a 2-1 win at Boundary Park. Porter got the home side moving with his goal in the 33rd minute. Then came 2-goals in 2 second half minutes. Warne doubled the home sides lead in the 71st minute with Taylor pulling one back a minute later for the Saddlers. Oldham Athletic 12th, Walsall 14th.

Gillingham did themselves the power of good with a 1-0 home win over Doncaster Rovers at Priestfield. The only goal of the game came from Flynn in the 17th minute. Gillingham 17th, Doncaster Rovers 13th.

In a match moved to Saturday, Swindon Town claimed their first away win of the season, and in doing so moved off the bottom of League One!! Their single goal victory again Rotherham United at Millmoor came through Fallon on the stroke of half time! Rotherham United 22nd, Swindon Town 23rd.
