Is it inevitable that Brighton & Hove Albion are going to start life in their new stadium in Falmer in the Championship? The Seagulls latest success came against Hartlepool United at Withdean as the home side eased their way to a 4-1 win. Goals from Wood (12th min), Murray (17th & 56th mins), and Noone (53rd min) swept the home side in to a commading lead before Sweeney netted a consolation in the 63rd minute. Brighton & Hove Albion 1st, Hartlepool United 13th.

AFC Bournemouth managed to squeeze Walsall out at Bescot, recording a 1-0 win over a recently improved Saddlers. Symes scored the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute. Walsall 23rd, AFC Bournemouth 2nd.

Huddersfield Town failed to keep pace with the top 2 as they could only draw 0-0 with Oldham Athletic at the Galpharm Stadium. Huddersfield Town 3rd, Oldham Athletic 6th.

South Coast Club had to be content with a single goal victory over Carlisle United at St Mary's. Lambert scored the only goal of the game in the 43rd minute. South Coast Club 4th, Carlisle United 16th.

Charlton Athletic had to come from behind to win against Peterborough United at The Valley. Tomlin gave Posh the lead in the 29th minute only to see quick fire goals from Jackson in the 57th minute and Wright-Phillips 2 minutes later turn the game around. A Langmead own goal practically put the game beyond doubt in the 80th minute, leaving Mackail-Smith to net a consolation in the 92nd minute. Charlton Athletic 5th, Peterborough United 9th.

Franchise FC had to be content with a point against Brentford at Stadium:Franchise. March-Brown gave the Franchise holders the lead in the 48th minute, with Grabban levelling 2 minutes later. Franchise FC 7th, Brentford 15th.

Rochdale are now to within a point of the play-off places following a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday who seem to be going backwards at a rapid rate of knots at the moment. Done gave Dale the lead in the 15th minute, with Jones doubling the advantage from the penalty spot 12 minutes later. Madine netted a consolation for the Owls in the 90th minute. Rochdale 8th, Sheffield Wednesday 14th.

It's looking like a painful end to the season for Swindon Town as they battle against the drop to League Two following a 2-1 defeat against Colchester United at their Community Stadium. Mooney gave the U's the lead from the penalty spot in the 7th minute, with Cuthbert levelling in the 51st minute. Robin's hearts were broken in the 91st minute when Gillespie netted the winner for the home side. Colchester United 10th, Swindon Town 21st.

As the weeks go by, it's looking more likely that Bristol Rovers are going to be slipping away to League Two without too much of a whimper. Leyton Orient brushed the west country side away with a 4-1 win at Brisbane Road. Smith gave the O's the lead in the 5th minute with Whing doubling the advantage in the 16th minute. Chorley gave Rovers a glimmer of hope with an own goal in the 52nd minute, but that glimmer was snuffed out when Kane put the result beyond doubt with a brace in the 77th and 82nd minutes. Leyton Orient 11th, Bristol Rovers 24th.

Exeter City got their JPT defeat out of the system with a fine 2-0 away win against Notts County at Meadow Lane. Tulley gave the Grecians the lead in the 54th minute, with Taylor doubling the advantage in the 73rd minute. Notts County 20th, Exeter City 12th.

They might have survived a winding up order during the week, but are Plymouth Argyle sinking to successive relegations? Tranmere Rovers were the latest victors over the Devon side as they eased to a 3-1 win. Elford-Alliyu netted a brace for the Wirral side in the 22nd and 64th minutes, with Showunmi netting in the 80th minute. Mason scored a consolation for the home side in the 91st minute. Plymouth Argyle 19th, Tranmere Rovers 17th.

Dagenham & Redbridge boosted their chances of beating the drop back to league Two with a 2-1 win over Yeovil Town at Victoria Road. Vindelot gave the Daggers the lead in the 30th minute, with Johnson levelling 3 minutes later. The winner came in the 72nd minute when Nurse netted the winner. Dagenham & Redbridge 22nd, Yeovil Town 18th.
