Charlton Athletic failed to close the gap on the league leader, loosing 2-1 at Victoria Park against inconsistent Hartlepool United. Monkhouse gave the home side the lead in the 14th minute, with Eccleston levelling 9 minutes in to the 2nd half. The winner came from Liddle in the 62nd minute. Hartlepool United 12th, Charlton Athletic 5th.

Free scoring Peterborough United 'only' managed 2 goals as they managed to see off Yeovil Town at Huish Park. Mackail-Smith and Basey left it late to clinch the win with goals in the 85th and 88th minutes respectively to lift the Posh back in to the play-off places. Yeovil Town 20th, Peterborough United 6th.

Oldham Athletic failed to make any head way in the race for the play-offs, going down to a 1-0 defeat against Carlisle United at Boundary Park. Curran scored the only goal of the game in the 80th minute. Oldham Athletic 7th, Carlisle United 13th.

Could Leyton Orient make the play-offs? Following a 3-2 win against Franchise FC at Stadium:Franchise, there's every reason to suspect they can! Lewington gave the Franchise holders the lead in the 7th minute, with Smith netting the first of his two goals 10 minutes later. Ibehre restored the home sides' advantage in the 23rd minute only to see Smith level in the 39th minute and Tehoue score the winner in the 74th minute. Franchise FC 8th, Leyton Orient 10th.

Colchester United slipped up at struggling Notts County with a 2-0 defeat to ease the pressure on the home side at Meadow Lane. Westcarr put County ahead in the 21st minute, with an own goal from Clarke in the 37th minute to seal the win. Notts County 18th, Colchester United 11th.

Tranmere Rovers eased their fears of relegation at the expense of Sheffield Wednesday, who seem to be in free fall at the moment. Goals from Elford-Alliyu (60th min), Goodison (65th min) and Showumni (81st min) sealed a fine 3-0 win for the home side. Tranmere Rovers 15th, Sheffield Wednesday 16th.

Walsall are to within 3 points of lifting themselves out of the League One drop zone as they edged Dagenham & Redbridge out with a 1-0 win at Bescot. Grigg scored the only goal of the game in the 81st minute. Walsall 22nd, Dagenham & Redbridge 23rd.

The games involving Bristol Rovers (24th) and AFC Bournemouth (2nd); and Exeter City (14th) and Swindon Town (21st), were both called off due to waterlogged pitches.
