Scunthorpe United continued to pile on the misery for bottom-club Rotherham United at Millmoor as the table toppers secured a single goal victory. The only goal of the game came in the 17th minute through Beckford. Scunthorpe United 1st, Rotherham United 24th.

Oldham Athletic slipped to a rare home defeat at the hands of Millwall at Boundary Park. Warne gave the home side a 55th minute lead. Williams equalised in the 61st minute with Byfield securing 3-points from the spot in the 82nd minute. Oldham Athletic 2nd, Millwall 12th.

Bristol City headed up the M5 and M6 to Blackpool to bring back all 3-points. The only goal of the game was scored by Andrews in the 53rd minute. Blackpool 8th, Bristol City 3rd.

Nottingham Forest slipped to a 5th away defeat as they went down 2-1 against Brighton & Hove Albion at Withdean. Lester had put Forest ahead in the 55th minute, but then saw Hammond and Ward score two quick goals in the 72nd and 73rd minutes to secure 3-points for the home side. Brighton & Hove Albion 11th, Nottingham Forest 4th.

Yeovil Town surprisingly slipped at home, this time to Tranmere Rovers at Huish. Shucker netted a brace with goals in the 53rd and 83rd minutes to send the Wirral side back in to the play-off places. Yeovil Town 5th, Tranmere Rovers 6th.

Swansea City had their play-off ambitions pegged back by Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium in a 2-2 draw. Akinfenwa fired City ahead in the 20th minute, only to see Prive level 12 minutes later. Trundle gave the Swans a half time lead from the penalty spot, only to see Heffernan level for the home side just before the hour mark. Doncaster Rovers 9th, Swansea City 7th.

Carlisle United were held by Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road in a 1-1 draw. Garner had put the Cumbrian side ahead in the 15th minute, but saw Lockwood level 2 minutes after the break. Leyton Orient 21st, Carlisle United 10th.

Huddersfield Town slipped up at home in the Galpharm Stadium as Brentford secured their 3rd away win of the campaign. Ide in the 49th minute and Kuffour in the 58th minute did enough to secure 3 vital points. Huddersfield Town 13th, Brentford 23rd.

Gillingham were held on Friday night against Northampton Town at Sixfields. McDonald had given the Kent side the lead in the 61st minute, only to see Robertson snatch an 86th minute equaliser! Northampton Town 19th, Gillingham 14th.

Crewe Alexandra pushed Bradford City closer to the relegation trap door with a single goal win at Valley Parade. The only goal came in the 89th minute through Lowe. Bradford City 18th, Crewe Alexandra 15th.

Chesterfield eased their relegation worries with a 3-0 win over Port Vale at Saltergate. Picken (38 mins), Ward (79 mins) and Allison (90 mins) secured three vital points for the home side. Chesterfield 17th, Port Vale 16th.

Cheltenham Town climbed out of the bottom 4 with a vital, and last gasp win over AFC Bournemouth at Whaddon Road! The only goal of the game came in the 3rd minute of time added on at the end when Spencer headed home! Cheltenham Town 20th, AFC Bournemouth 22nd.
